Granlund completes the hat trick with the buzzer-beater to lift the ducks over the flames in OT
Mikael Granlund saved his best for last.
The veteran forward completed a hat trick with one second remaining in overtime, scoring a pass from John Carlson in the high slot past goaltender Devin Cooley on the power play to give the Anaheim Ducks a 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday.
Granlund has scored seven goals in four consecutive games and is making the most of the hot spell.
“The pucks are going in right now, so obviously it’s a good feeling,” Granlund said. “There are easier ways to find a way to win a game, but that’s how it was.”
Carlson had two assists and Ville Husso made 23 saves for Anaheim, which improved to 41-27-4 and has won four straight. The Ducks are now five points ahead of the Edmonton Oilers for first place in the Pacific Division and are 17-4 in games decided beyond regulation this season, the most in the NHL.
Coach Joel Quenneville acknowledged that the Ducks were fortunate to continue to find ways to win late.
“When they went on, I thought this was one of those nights where our luck will run out one of these days,” Quenneville said. “We’ll get him, but it would be nice to clean up some things.”
Blake Coleman and Matvei Gridin scored for Calgary and Cooley made 30 saves. The Flames goalie was frustrated with the timing of Granlund’s game-winning goal.
“That stings,” Cooley said. “It was just a couple of seconds left, from a stick and over the shoulder. I saw it all the way through and was like, ‘I got it,’ and boom, at the last second. So this stings a lot.”
Flames coach Ryan Huska said his team hurt itself by wasting scoring opportunities, pointing to a 3-on-0 run in the first minute that produced no shots on goal.
“At some point, someone has to shoot it into the net,” Huska said. “You can’t pass it in there.”
Anaheim played without forwards Jansen Harkins and Troy Terry, both of whom were dealing with injuries. Defenseman Radko Gudas also left the game with a lower-body injury in the second period. Quenneville said he expects Gudas to be OK after further evaluation.
Granlund’s goal tied Peter Douris for the last overtime goal in Ducks franchise history.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
